The only 'systems' that I know of that can accept this are the Sony HT-SF1300 (tallboy speakers), HT-SS1300 (small stand mounted speakers), Sony HT-DDGW800 (ugly speakers!) and the Onkyo HTX-22HD system (2.1 but more speakers can be added to make it 5.1). DTS-HD MA and therefore a home cinema system that can accept LPCM is all that is needed. Your player by the looks of it can decode all the latest formats inc. The other is to decode it within the player and output it as LPCM (linear pulse code modulation). One is to send the raw audio data as bitstream to the amp for external decoding. If you want the new HD audio formats LINK you have two options. Some have HDMI inputs but these are simply for switching between HDMI sources and the audio is left untouched and passed straight to the TV. You might find some with HDMI connections but these are usually an output only for the built-in DVD player to the TV. Not many all-in-one home cinema systems have HDMI audio capability. ![]() At least that is what I found out by doing a search on the forum. ![]() Your h/c system doesn't have optical so you can't get surround sound from the BD player I'm afraid.
